Several students in Grades 1-12 competed in the GAPPS Regional Visual Arts Competition in Sharpsburg. Our Middle School art students won REGION 1ST PLACE, and a number of students earned 1ST-4TH PLACE RIBBONS. High School students who placed in the Region will advance to the upcoming State Competition in Macon. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THESE HCA ARTISTS!

Mrs. Erica Johnson and 16 Beta Club members volunteered to serve at the PRC Medical annual fundraiser banquet on March 31 during their spring break. We are grateful for their generous investment of time to serve this amazing local ministry.
HCA is excited to announce that 27 of our students are featured at the Douglas County Cultural Arts Center's March exhibit for National Youth Art Month. Stop by the center Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, March 3-25.
Under the instruction of Mrs. Chaney Billips, these students have done some truly amazing work! Mrs. Billips commented, "[This is the] best batch of artwork I've ever had the pleasure of sharing with the community."
These middle school students devoted themselves to the opportunity of learning about this atrocity against the Jewish people, and also represented HCA well. We are so proud of you, 8th grade Hawks!
Our elementary students represented well at the GAPPS Elementary Academic Day hosted in Woodstock. Congratulations to all those who participated and placed in the competition!

Our middle school students traveled to Eatonton, Georgia, for the GAPPS One-Act Festival and earned a rating of Excellent for their performance of "When Women Played Basketball" by Caryn Hart. Ella Bronosky also won a Best Actor award. Congratulations to our Hawks!
Congratulations to senior Gregory Gerstenberger for receiving the Kiwanis Club Mel Hayden Student Leadership Award for his leadership in Key Club! To be considered for the medallion, a student must demonstrate a heart to serve, call to lead, and courage to engage. Great job, Gregory!
After seven different matches at the February 5 GAPPS region chess tournament (including a must-sweep victory in the seventh match!), the Hawks gained a Third Place region finish and qualified to compete in the state tournament in Macon on February 9.
Congratulations to our chess team for their first-ever state tournament appearance! Team members include seniors Jason LaVacca, Walker Lodge, Sankai Smith, and Gabe Toups; and junior Roman McIntyre.

HCA recently received "BEST SCHOOLS" ranking for the THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR! This includes TOP 20% of "most diverse private high schools in Georgia" as well as TOP 30% for athletics. HCA ranked #2 in Douglas County, public or private, for athletics. In addition, HCA moved up in the overall rankings this year. We are truly grateful for God's blessings on our School!
