Welcome to Our Family

The family atmosphere at Harvester is truly unique. We believe learning is enhanced when supported by a strong, loving community. Thus, all teaching is done carefully and creatively in order to inspire each child to participate confidently in the learning process.

One of our goals at HCA is to facilitate continual improvement of our educational experience, including academic instruction, technology, program offerings, spiritual growth, and facilities. We want to model for our students the importance of growing and working toward excellence in all that we do.

Mission

Harvester Christian Academy exists to provide a quality education for each student in a safe, diverse, and God-centered environment. We are dedicated to the preparation of our students for a successful and meaningful life of maximum contribution to the cause of Christ, either in Christian service or in their career fields, where they are guided daily by honesty, discipline, and awareness of others. The HCA motto is "training minds to lead and hearts to serve."

Using these five pillars as a guide...

Harvester provides a complete educational experience to prepare students for life beyond the classroom.

SCHOLARSHIP
is achieved through a college-preparatory program of study taught with a Biblical worldview by caring and skilled educators.

LEADERSHIP
qualities are developed through our Senior Role Models program, independent study, praise band, mission trips, volunteer projects, and service clubs.

WORSHIP
is at the heart of daily Bible lessons, Christian faculty and staff, weekly chapel, and service to the community, as students learn that everything is in some way an act of worship.

SPORTSMANSHIP
is learned through character building athletic and academic competitions, where students have the chance to consistently show love and respect like Jesus did, win or lose.

FELLOWSHIP
opportunities allow students to use their God-given talents to benefit HCA and the local community as they grow in becoming servant leaders.

History

Founded in 1987 and beginning with Kindergarten through 3rd Grade sharing a multipurpose space, Harvester experienced rapid growth that led to the expansion of facilities to include individual classrooms in 1991. The HCA Gymnasium was built in 1995, and a joint middle school/high school building was added in 1996. In 2017, a new classroom building allowed for further growth of the student body and introduced updated facilities such as a state-of-the-art STEM lab, computer lab, physical and life sciences labs, media center, and art studio.

Through each of these seasons of change and currently, Harvester continues to be known for its Christ-centered education, academic rigor, small class sizes, and family atmosphere. HCA has been serving local students representing Douglas, Paulding, Carroll, Fulton, and Cobb counties, as well as international students from Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Nigeria, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Relying on God has to begin all over again every day as if nothing had yet been done.
